Google Play Store in Windows 11 & Windows 10 Installation using WSA (Windows Subsystem for Android)
With Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA), you can run Android apps on your Windows 11 or even Windows 10 PC. However, the default WSA from Microsoft does not come with Google Play Store. Luckily, thanks to the WSA Builds project on GitHub, you can now install WSA with Google Play Store easily on both Windows 11 and Windows 10. Before you begin, make sure your PC meets the following requirements: ✔ Windows 11 or Windows 10 (64-bit) ✔ Virtualization enabled (You can check this in Task Manager under the Performance tab) ✔ At least 8GB RAM (Recommended for smooth performance) ✔ SSD Storage (For faster app loading) ✔ Latest Windows updates installed If your PC meets these requirements, let’s proceed with the installation!Step 1: Download WSA with Google Play Store
We will use the WSA Builds project from GitHub to install WSA with Google Play Store. Follow these steps: 1️⃣ Go to the WSA Builds project on GitHub- Visit the official WSA Builds GitHub page (search for “WSA Builds GitHub” on Google).
- If you have Windows 11 (x64), download the Windows 11 x64 build.
- If you have Windows 11 (ARM-based PC), download the Windows 11 ARM build.
- If you are on Windows 10, select the Windows 10 build.
- Look for the “MindTheGApps” version, which removes Amazon App Store and adds Google Play Store.
- Click Download, and the file will be saved as a ZIP folder on your PC.
Step 2: Extract & Install WSA with Google Play Store
Before installing, uninstall any existing WSA from Microsoft Store: ✔ Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps ✔ Find Windows Subsystem for Android and Uninstall it Now, follow these steps: 1️⃣ Extract the WSA ZIP Folder- Locate the WSA ZIP file you downloaded.
- Right-click and select Extract All to extract the files.
- Rename the extracted folder to WSA (for easier access).
- Open the WSA folder and look for Run.bat.
- Double-click on Run.bat – this will open Command Prompt or PowerShell and start installing WSA with Google Play Store.
- The script will automatically install WSA and enable Google Play Store.
- Once you see “All done, press any key to exit”, press a key to close the window.
